HEN SADDLES

A Huge supply of beautifully marked grizzle hackles on these wide cut hen saddles.  Dyed in strong, vibrant colours and offering some softer, longer fibre hackles on the side flaps, traditional hen saddle hackle in the centre with fine stems, and chickabou between the two, also nicely marked.  Great value..

These wide cut hen saddles are our unique product.  We hate wasting perfectly good tying hackles, and there are plenty of those on the 'wings' of these saddles.  Plus you have a variety of sizes from the softer, longer fibres on the extended saddles.

Also with these saddles you will find some ultra soft, ultra mobile 'chickabou' like hackles in between the back and the wing pieces, all in all providing superb value for money.

The better known, more traditional hen saddle, supplying only the centre saddle.  Natural or dyed, with soft, longer fibre hackles than the capes ideal if you are tying in larger, consistent sizes.

Traditional hen saddle, supplying the centre back patch only.  Dyed in a variety of colours, ideal for salmon flies, and any application where a soft, mobile hackle of consistent size is needed.

A wonderful selection of natural colours.  These can be used, in many cases, to replace more traditional but less easy to use hackles such as grouse or other difficult to source feathers.  The selection pictured here has many variations on the Andalusian, shades of blue grey which can be supplied as they are, or overdyed to wonderful effect.
